Gabriel Gordon

Gabriel Gordon has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical research and scientific advising. Gabriel is currently working as a Principal Clinical Scientist at REGENXBIO Inc. since February 2022. Prior to this, they held several positions at different organizations. From 2015 to the present, they have been a Director at the California Retina Research Foundation and a Director of Research at California Retina Consultants, where they have been involved in the progression of clinical trials and advising on the feasibility of future research projects. From 2015 to February 2022, they served as a Scientific Advisor at the HealthBridge Foundation.

In addition to their clinical research roles, Gabriel Gordon also has experience as a Founder, President, and CEO of Little Bit of Give, a web-based direct donation foundation for scientific/medical researchers, from 2010 to 2018. Gabriel also worked as a Chief Operating Officer and Principal Investigator at IC Labs from 2011 to 2015.

Gabriel Gordon's academic background includes a Post-doctoral Research Associate role at the University of Southern California from 2008 to 2011, where they conducted research on various aspects of the cornea, and a Graduate Student role at the University of Miami from 2002 to 2008, studying the roles and regulation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in corneal wound healing and making novel discoveries in the field.

Gabriel Gordon completed their Ph.D. degree in Cellular Biology and Anatomy at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine from 2002 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. degree in Math and Applied Science (Molecular Genetics) from UCLA, graduating between 1994-1998. Gabriel completed their high school education at Cate School, from 1990 to 1994.
