Murshed Hussain

Murshed Hussain has extensive experience in settlement services and academic research, currently serving as Team Lead at the Regina Open Door Society since March 2016, where responsibilities include supervising settlement workers, managing program budgets, and ensuring compliance with contribution agreements. Murshed has also held roles as Reporting Coordinator and Program Evaluator, and coordinator for Translations and Interpretation programs within the same organization. Prior to this, Murshed worked as a Settlement Caseworker and Research Assistant at the University of Regina, focusing on refugee demographic analysis and policy evaluation. Murshed’s teaching experience includes guest lectures in various sociology and international studies topics at the same university. Murshed holds a Master of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Regina, along with a diploma from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology.
