Darren Finucane MSc. is a seasoned aviation finance professional with extensive experience across various sectors of the industry. Currently serving as the Director of Origination at AVICO Group since January 2003, Darren has successfully developed multiple leasing platforms supporting airline customers. In addition to this role, Darren holds the position of SVP Commercial Operations at REGIO LEASE, focusing on market expansion. As the Director of Business Development at Knight Aircraft Leasing since March 2017, Darren was instrumental in establishing a joint venture aircraft leasing platform. Darren also contributes to aviation security training at Butterfly Training while previously holding directorial roles at AAR Corp and TransAer International Airlines. An alumnus of the University of Limerick with multiple advanced degrees, Darren's robust educational background includes an MSc in Engineering – Aerospace and specialist diplomas in airworthiness and quality management systems.
