Michael Dunn

Michael Dunn is an experienced professional with a diverse background in regional planning, real estate, insurance, and finance. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Region 1 Planning Council since February 2015, Michael oversees significant planning and development efforts for a community of over 720,000 residents in Northern Illinois, fulfilling various roles including Federal Metropolitan Planning Organization and Economic Development District. Previously, Michael worked as a Commercial Real Estate Broker at First Midwest Group, where responsibilities included lease negotiations and property redevelopment. Prior to that, experience as a Consultant at Larson Agency involved selling Federal crop insurance, while roles at Fidelity National Financial and Winston & Strawn LLP focused on financial analysis and legislative assistance. Michael holds two Bachelor's Degrees from Loyola University Chicago, one in Business Administration and Management and another in Finance.
