Kate Slevin has a diverse work experience that spans over several organizations and roles. Kate is currently the Executive Vice President at the Regional Plan Association, a position they have held since July 2021. Kate's early career includes roles at the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, where they were an Environmental Review Coordinator from 2000 to 2001 and an Urban Park Ranger from 1999 to 2000. Kate also had a summer internship as a Children's Garden Intern at Brooklyn Botanic Garden in 1998.

Kate Slevin completed their Bachelor's Degree in Earth and Environmental Science at Wesleyan University from 1995 to 1999. Kate then pursued a Master's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning at New York University from 2000 to 2002. Later, they obtained another Master's Degree in the same field of study from New York University. No specific start or end years were provided for their second Master's Degree.
