Angus Bonnyman is an accomplished finance and accounting professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at The AC Group of Independent Accounting Firms Limited and holding significant positions at the Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, including Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee and Board Member, Angus has demonstrated expertise in governance, budget oversight, and strategic planning. Angus also chairs the Audit Committee at Divert NS and owns Bonnymans' Wild Blueberries, a family farming business. Previously, Angus has held leadership roles such as Executive Director for the Christmas Tree Council of Nova Scotia, Treasurer for the Public Accountants' Board of Nova Scotia, and has contributed to the community as a volunteer for The Marguerite Centre. Academically, Angus holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, a Chartered Accountant credential from the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountants, and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Acadia University.

The Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB) is the province’s provider of workplace injury insurance. We inform and inspire Nova Scotians in the prevention of workplace injury, but when it occurs, we support those whose lives it touches, fostering a timely and safe return to work. We also provide caring, compassionate support in the wake of workplace tragedy. The WCB is a dynamic organization of about 400 employees.
