Allison Korinek

Allison Korinek is an experienced analyst at RTD since June 2022 and serves as the Communications Chair for the French Colonial Historical Society, which promotes scholarly study of the French colonial legacy. Previously, Allison worked as a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, focusing on interdisciplinary inquiries in the humanities, and held various teaching roles at New York University, including adjunct instructor and graduate student, contributing to seminars on French studies and historical interpretation. With a strong academic foundation, including a PhD in History and French Studies from New York University and a BA in History and Linguistics from Rice University, Allison's research interests encompass the history of modern France, French empire, linguistic politics, and urban renewal in Paris. Additional professional experience includes editorial work and historical research for various institutions, highlighting a robust commitment to the intersection of history, culture, and education.
