Brian Welch is a seasoned professional in transportation planning with over three decades of experience. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Planning Technical Services at the Denver Regional Transportation District since August 2011, Brian specializes in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional transportation projects and is recognized for expertise in the intersection of the built environment and transportation behavior, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. Prior roles include Principal at Fehr & Peers, Transportation Director for the Town of Danville, and various positions ranging from Development Services Director to Senior Transportation Planner. Brian holds a Master's degree in City Planning and an A.B. in Urban and Economic Geography from the University of California, Berkeley.
