Dan Houlihan currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at Regis College since January 2017 and as Co-Director of the Divers Archaeological Reconnaissance Cooperative (DivARC) since December 2018, focusing on the reintegration of veterans through mission-based scuba activities. With extensive experience as a Hand/Upper Extremity Therapist at Hallmark Health System since August 2014 and a background as a Scuba Instructor for East Coast Divers from 2016 to 2023, Dan has also held various occupational therapy roles, including a position at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and as a Term Lecturer at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Prior military experience includes serving as Program Director for the METC Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and in various positions within the US Navy. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University, a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification from Utila Dive Centre, and both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Russell Sage College, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University at Buffalo.
