Jim Beyer

Jim Beyer has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jim currently holds the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Regis Resources Ltd since October 2018. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the Executive Council at AMEC (Association of Mining and Exploration Companies) starting from June 2016.

Jim Beyer is also involved in philanthropic activities and serves as a State Advisory Board Member at Starlight Children's Foundation Australia since October 2020. In this role, they contribute to the organization's mission to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

In terms of their mining industry experience, Jim Beyer was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Mount Gibson Iron from May 2012 to September 2018. Jim also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at the same company from November 2011 to May 2012.

Before joining Mount Gibson Iron, Jim Beyer worked at Newmont Mining Corporation as the General Manager of Boddington Gold Mine from December 2006 to 2010 and the General Manager of Pajingo Gold Mine from November 2004 to November 2006.

In the early stages of their career, Jim Beyer worked at WMC Resources, where they held various managerial positions such as General Manager - Copper Uranium Strategic Planning, Business Effectiveness & Business Growth from March 2003 to November 2004, General Manager - Mining from March 2001 to March 2003, General Manager - Production from June 2000 to March 2001, and Mining Manager from April 1996 to June 2000.

Jim Beyer's career also includes working at McArthur River Mine - MIM Holdings as Mine Tech Services Superintendent & Acting Mining Manager from May 1995 to April 1996 and as a Senior Mining Engineer from February 1993 to May 1995. Jim started their career at Mount Isa Mines - MIM Holdings, where they held roles such as Mine Planning Engineer - Copper from September 1991 to February 1993, Business Analyst from October 1989 to September 1991, and various Graduate and Junior Mining Engineer Roles from January 1986 to October 1989.

Jim Beyer obtained a Master of Geoscience degree in Mineral Economics from Macquarie University in 1996. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining from The University of Queensland in the years 1981 to 1985. Jim'seducation journey began with a High School Certificate from De La Salle High School, which they completed between 1972 and 1980.
