Leo Labeis has a diverse and extensive work experience. Leo is the founder and CEO of REGnosys since June 2016. Prior to that, they worked at Goldman Sachs from 2003 to 2016, holding multiple senior roles. Leo served as the Managing Director, Global Head of Macro CVA and FX Trading Quants from September 2013 to May 2016. In this role, they transformed the trading quantitative infrastructure to align with regulatory capital requirements and internal ALM funding models. Leo also played a pivotal role in the firm's market structure strategy with industry regulators and competitors in FX markets. Leo was responsible for the implementation of MIFID II across Global Markets businesses since 2015. Before this, they served as the Managing Director, Head of EMEA Emerging Markets Trading Strats from March 2007 to May 2016. In this position, Leo co-built and managed the emerging markets trading business, focusing on analytics and systems. Leo designed frameworks for wrong-way risk, liquidity, and regulatory capital modeling. Lastly, from August 2003 to March 2007, Leo worked as the Executive Director in Interest Rates Derivatives Trading Quants at Goldman Sachs.
Leo Labeis holds a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from École Polytechnique, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. Leo further pursued a Master's Degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, completing it in 2002. Leo then continued their studies at Pierre and Marie Curie University, obtaining another Master's Degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from 2002 to 2003.
