Lukas Weidmann's work experience begins in 2013 when they worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the Institute of Machine Tools and Manufacturing. In 2015, they had an industrial internship at Feintool. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Project Engineer and PhD Candidate at the Institute of Machine Tools and Manufacturing, where they focused on researching and developing analytical modeling approaches for machining CFRP. Lukas was responsible for managing and conducting innovation projects with industry partners and led a team of scientific assistants and students. In 2022, they joined REGO-FIX AG as the Deputy Head of Equipment Engineering and Innovation Manager, where they continue to work.
Lukas Weidmann completed their education in Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zürich. Lukas started their academic journey in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree, which they completed in 2014. Lukas then pursued further studies at ETH Zürich, earning their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016. Lukas continued their academic pursuits and successfully obtained a Doctorate of Science (Dr. sc. ETH) in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich in 2021.
