Jim Townsend, CISSP

Jim Townsend, CISSP has over 25 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity. Jim began their career in 1992 as a Sales Representative for CompUSA. In 1994, they became the Manager at Johnson Controls, where they managed a team to operate a 24/7 data center for the US Customs Service and developed a predictive interdiction warning system to reduce illegal aerial border crossing with contraband. In 1996, they joined RSA Security as a Corporate Sales Engineer, where they worked with the SVP of Sales to take the company international by hiring, training, and mentoring the worldwide Sales Engineering team. Jim then became the Technical Director, engaging with Sales to bring solutions to unique customer requirements and working with Product Management and Engineering to bring the concepts into the product capabilities. In 2021, Jim joined Bugcrowd as the Director of Strategic Alliances, and in 2022 they were appointed Senior Director of Technical Solutions at RegScale.

Jim Townsend, CISSP has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from California State University-San Bernardino, which they obtained between 1992 and 1996.
