Thomas Sommer

Thomas Sommer has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Thomas most recently worked at Reha Technology AG as a Development Engineer / Project Manager. Prior to that, they were a Sales Engineer at EmbaPlan GmbH. Thomas also served as the Head of R&D at Schaerer Medical AG for two years. Thomas has extensive experience as a Development Engineer and Project Manager, having held similar roles at Schaerer Medical AG, Stryker, EMCH Aufzüge AG, and WIFAG Maschinenfabrik AG. Thomas began their career as a Manufacturing Mechanic at Adval Tech.

Thomas Sommer completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program from Private Hochschule Wirtschaft PHW Bern, from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on the "Musculoskeletal System" from the University of Bern, from 2006 to 2008. Thomas also holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl. Masch.-Ing. FH) in Development and Design from Berner Fachhochschule BFH, from 1997 to 2001. In addition, they completed an apprenticeship as a Mechanic (LWB) and obtained a Federal Certificate of Competence in Mechanics Technician, specializing in CNC Turning & Milling, from 1992 to 1996.
