Kent E. Husa possesses extensive experience in both technical and educational roles. Currently, Kent serves as a Bike Shop Mechanic and Ski Shop Tech at REI, where responsibilities include assembling, repairing, and maintaining bicycles and snow sports equipment, alongside providing exceptional customer service. In addition to this role, Kent has been involved with iCan Shine since 2016 as a Bicycle Technician, assisting individuals with special needs in learning to ride bicycles. Prior experience includes serving as a Cycling Instructor at South Suburban Parks and Recreation, where Kent developed and implemented a curriculum for youth. Before transitioning to the bicycle and ski industry, Kent worked at Verizon for over two decades, culminating in the role of IT Software Development Manager, overseeing multiple application development teams and driving successful software releases. Kent holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, with a focus on Aerospace Engineering Science.
