Peter Newton

Peter Newton, OLY, has extensive experience in UI/UX design and graphic design, currently serving as UI/UX Manager at REI since December 2003, where management of a design team focuses on creating user-centered experiences for REI.com. Prior roles at REI include Digital Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer for Digital, Site Producer, and Senior Designer in Marketing, where responsibilities spanned from campaign execution to layout design and project management. Before REI, Peter worked as a Graphic Designer at Eddie Bauer, handling various print materials aligned with brand guidelines. Additionally, Peter is an accomplished Olympian, having represented the USA Olympic kayak team from 1992 to 2000. Peter holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Western Washington University.
