Navid Bayar is a trial lawyer in Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg’s Austin office. As a former Silicon Valley deal lawyer, he knows what drives (and resolves) high-stakes commercial disputes. His practice focuses on representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial and IP litigation in courts throughout the country.
From the outset of every engagement, his focus is on achieving the best results for his clients. He aims to thoroughly understand a case, identify areas of leverage, and develop a strategy to achieve his clients’ business goals.
He makes it a priority to stay apprised of the law’s development. As a result, his subject-matter familiarity is exceptionally broad, spanning antitrust, corporate law, contract law, securities laws, shareholder suits, ERISA, the False Claims Act, patents, trade secrets, copyright, trademarks, and various types of aggregate litigation such as class actions and MDLs. He has handled disputes involving cryptocurrencies, financial institutions, insurance law, start-ups, joint ventures, supply and service agreements, and complex new technologies.
Navid is unique among business trial lawyers because he is also a former deal lawyer. He started his career as a transactional attorney at one of the Bay Area’s premier law firms representing technology companies and venture capital funds in IPOs, M&A transactions, and private securities offerings, among other complex transactions.
Before joining the firm, Navid clerked for two federal judges, first for the former Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, and later for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Navid strives to maintain an active pro bono practice and is a former pro bono attorney with the Federal Defenders.
