Thomas Hires

Thomas Hires, P.Eng. is a seasoned mechanical engineer with over 25 years of experience in mechanical building systems and controls design across various sectors, including energy, industrial processes, commercial, government, education, and healthcare. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Reinbold Engineering Group since December 2019, Thomas reviews HVAC, plumbing, and schematic drawings for accuracy and compliance while correlating equipment types and sizes for project suitability. Previous roles include Team Lead at NORR Architects Engineers Planners, Senior Mechanical Engineer positions at AECOM, Stantec Consulting Ltd., and Syncrude Canada Ltd., and Principal at HIRES Engineering. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta, Ontario, and Saskatchewan, as well as a member of ASHRAE.
