Frank van Rooijen

Frank van Rooijen has extensive work experience in the renewable and sustainable energy systems industry. From 2006, they worked at Enerdes, where they held the roles of COO | Technical Director and Technical Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for daily operations, international projects, and research & development of services, products, and systems. Frank specialized in the design and implementation of semi-closed greenhouse climate systems, utilizing renewable and energy-efficient resources. Prior to Enerdes, they worked at Reinders Corporation as the CTO | Technical Director and was actively involved in business automation and IT management. Additionally, they had a part-time role as an Operations Manager at Bakkerij Smithuis BV from 1999 to 2006.

Frank van Rooijen completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Process Technology from the University of applied science Enschede. Frank attended this institution from 1999 to 2003. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Industrial Engineering and Management with a focus on Production and Logistic Management at the University of Twente from 2004 to 2006.
