Cheila Fernandez has a diverse and extensive work experience in risk management and compliance. Before joining Reinvestment Fund, Fernandez spent many years at Deloitte, where they held various senior roles. As a Risk Advisory Senior Manager, they developed risk management frameworks for banks and conducted audits to assess the effectiveness of controls and identify areas for improvement. Cheila also served as the Chief of Staff for Governance, Risk, and Regulatory Client Services, where they established and managed risk and compliance service offerings, leading to significant revenue growth. Additionally, Fernandez worked as an Internal Audit and Information Security Assurance Manager, conducting reviews of business processes, evaluating controls, and providing strategic advice on risk management.
Throughout their career, Fernandez has demonstrated expertise in risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency, making their a valuable asset in their current role as COO.
Cheila Fernandez attended Drexel University's LeBow College of Business from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Cheila'sfield of study included Management Information Systems and Finance. In 2005, they obtained a certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor from ISACA.
