Darwin Salls Jr. has a varied work experience. Darwin began their career in 2005 as a Manager for Miami Events, LLC, where they were responsible for sales activities, contract negotiations, event planning, vendor relations, accounting, and operations management. In 2007, they became a Manager for Fairway, where they helped design and remodel a high volume establishment with the goal of increasing efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. In 2011, they joined XPO Logistics, Inc. - Supply Chain (formerly New Breed Logistics, Inc.) as a member of the Supply Chain Team, acting as a liaison between Honeywell's production team and the supply chain department. Finally, in 2012, they became the Senior Vice President and General Manager, and then the General Manager, of Rejuvaskin\u00ae | Scar Heal, where they were responsible for overseeing the company's operations, domestic and international partnerships, manufacturing, research and development, marketing, and sales.

Darwin Salls Jr. completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in International Business from St. Petersburg College between 2007 and 2011. Prior to that, they attended Boyd H. Anderson High School. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications from different institutions, including a Certified Enriched Air Nitrox Diver from Scuba Schools International (SSI) in 2014, a Certified Scuba Divemaster from Scuba Educators International (SEI) in 2013, a Certified Basic First Aid Provider and a Certified CPR and AED Provider from the American Safety and Health Institute in 2013, a Certified Emergency O2 Provider from the American Red Cross in 2013, a Certified Diver Rescue and Accident Management from Scuba Educators International (SEI) in 2013, a Certified Advanced Open Water Plus Diver from Scuba Educators International (SEI) in 2012, and a Certified Open Water Diver from Scuba Educators International (SEI) in 2011.
