Aviv Gruber

Aviv Gruber has a strong background in data science and research. Aviv is currently working as a Data Science Team Lead at Rekor, starting in July 2023. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company from November 2022 to July 2023.

Prior to their position at Rekor, Aviv worked as a Lecturer at Tel Aviv University from October 2017 onwards. Here, they focused on teaching computer integrated manufacturing and implementing production technologies using computer integrated manufacturing systems. Additionally, they conducted theoretical lectures and hands-on practice at the CIM laboratory.

Aviv also gained extensive experience as a Senior Applied Researcher at Fabric from August 2021 to August 2022. Their responsibilities included analyzing the performance and robustness of robotic systems and developing a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) generator for monitoring and analyzing production line automation.

Aviv has previously held various positions at SparkBeyond, serving as a Principal Data Scientist - Technical Lead from May 2020 to August 2021 and as a Data Science Tech Lead from November 2018 to May 2020.

Earlier in their career, Aviv worked as a Data Scientist at Huawei Technologies from August 2014 to October 2018, a Teaching Fellow at Tel Aviv University from February 2014 to August 2016, a Senior Algorithms Specialist at CyberArk from October 2013 to July 2014, and an Advanced Analytics Developer at Intel Corporation from April 2012 to October 2013.

Aviv also gained research experience as a Post Doctoral Researcher at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from October 2012 to September 2013, focusing on operational decision making in logistics, supply chain, and inventory control.

Furthermore, they worked as a Senior Instructor at Tel Aviv University from March 2009 to September 2012, where they played a significant role in teaching and instructing various courses.

Aviv Gruber's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Nuclear Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, which was obtained from 1996 to 2000. Following that, Aviv pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Nuclear Engineering from the same university, completing it from 2000 to 2003.

In 2005 to 2006, Aviv attended the University of Southampton, where they engaged in PGR research proposal studies focused on Computational Engineering & Design. After this, Aviv proceeded to Tel Aviv University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Data Mining and Machine Learning, which was obtained from 2008 to 2013.

Additionally, Aviv Gruber has obtained a certification as an AWS Data Lab Participant from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2023.
