Abu Mohammad Shabbir Khan has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2012 as a tutor for grades 7-12 for the Parent Teacher Student Organization at Granite Hills High School. In 2013, they interned at the District office of Congressman Paul Cook, where they assisted in public outreach programs and represented the Congressman at local events and town-hall meetings. In 2017, Khan co-founded the first ACM SIGAPP Student Chapter in Bangladesh, and was elected as its Chair twice. That same year, they were the Social Media Lead for the Microsoft Student Partners (NSU), where they coordinated the recruitment of 155 new members and doubled the number of likes on the organization's Facebook page. Khan was also the Sub-Executive of Operations for the NSU ACM Student Chapter, where they led a team of over 60 members to coordinate and organize intra-university and inter-university programming contests. In 2020, Khan was an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, where they taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year undergraduate students. In 2021, Khan was a Data Scientist at The Institute of Clever Stuff, where they created and productionized machine learning models and analyzed health and safety-related issues. Khan is currently a Data Engineer at Relation Therapeutics.

Abu Mohammad Shabbir Khan completed their Secondary School Certificate at Monipur High School & College from 2003 to 2012. Abu Mohammad Shabbir then went on to receive their Honorary High School Diploma from Granite Hills High School in 2013. Following this, they obtained their Higher Secondary Certificate from Notre Dame College in 2015. Afterward, they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from North South University in 2019. Most recently, they completed their Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Oxford in 2021.
