Richard Burcat has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Richard began their career as a Propulsion Branch Student Co-op at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in 2009 and later became a Propulsion Engineer. In 2013, they joined the Maryland Conservation Corps as an AmeriCorps Volunteer for two years. Richard then worked as a Parks Maintenance Worker at Rockburn Branch Park and as a Facility Leader I at Roger Carter Community Center in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Residential Energy Auditor at greeNEWit. Their most recent position was at Relative Dynamics Inc., where they worked in various roles related to Aqua/Aura Satellite, including GNC Engineer, EPS/TCS Engineer, and On-Console Engineer.
Richard Burcat attended the University of Maryland from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, with a minor in International Engineering.
