Raul Martinez is a seasoned propulsion engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Currently serving as a Staff Propulsion Engineer at Relativity Space since April 2024, Raul previously held the position of Sr. Propulsion Engineer at Millennium Space Systems from March 2023 to April 2024. At Virgin Orbit, Raul contributed as a Senior Engineering Manager, overseeing a team that successfully developed a rocket engine from prototype to orbit, alongside earlier roles including Engineering Manager and Senior Propulsion Design and Analysis Engineer. Raul has also worked at Virgin Galactic, Menlo Avenue, Wirestorm, Aerojet Rocketdyne, NEi Software, GKN Aerospace Transparency Systems, and Chad Industries, accumulating a diverse skill set in engineering design, analysis, and software development. Raul earned a Master of Science in Aerospace from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UC Irvine.
