Sekar Kathiresan

Sekar (Sek) Kathiresan is a prominent figure in the field of medicine and genetics, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Verve Therapeutics. Sek holds board membership positions at Relay Therapeutics and Maze Therapeutics. In addition, Sek is an Honorary Physician in the Department of Medicine and a Cardiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where Sek also directs the Center for Genomic Medicine. At Harvard Medical School, Sek contributes as a Lecturer and Professor of Medicine. Sek completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Human Genetics at the Broad Institute from 2003 to 2008 and a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Genetic Epidemiology at the Framingham Heart Study from 2003 to 2005.
