Abri Stegmann

Abri Stegmann currently serves as Director and SA Country Manager at Release by Scatec since November 2018, focusing on solar photovoltaic and energy storage solutions for sectors such as mining, oil and gas, utilities, and humanitarian applications. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Engineer and Product Lead at Scatec ASA from August 2012 to January 2019, where significant contributions were made to the design and construction of utility-scale solar PV facilities. Stegmann also founded Stellenbosch Wind Energy Technologies, a company dedicated to developing and manufacturing small wind turbines for the off-grid market, from April 2011 to August 2012. Academic qualifications include a Master of Sciences in Engineering (MSc.Eng) in Electrical from the University of Stellenbosch, a Bachelor's in Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechatronics from the same university, and certification as a Renewable Energy Professional from the Association of Energy Engineers.
