Marian Kousaie Toney

Marian Kousaie Toney has a diverse work experience. They most recently worked as a Counsel at ReliabilityFirst Corporation starting in July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Labor from October 2022 to July 2023. From February 2019 to October 2022, Marian worked as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio. They also have experience as an Assistant Director of Law at the City of Cleveland - City Hall from September 2017 to February 2019, and as an Associate Attorney at The Spitz Law Firm, LLC from October 2016 to September 2017. Marian has also worked as a Legal Intern at Sherwin-Williams, a Research Assistant at The University of Akron School of Law, a Law Clerk at Mazurek & Holliday, PC, and a Legal Extern at the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio. Prior to their legal career, they worked as a Product Management Associate at Fomo Products, Inc from December 2010 to August 2013, where they organized and managed multi-departmental teams and managed accounts for international customers.

Marian Kousaie Toney began their education in 2006, attending Kent State University. Marian earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish Language and Literature in 2010.

In 2013, Toney enrolled in the University of Akron School of Law, where they completed a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2016. During the same period, they also pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Akron School of Law.
