Vincenzo Pappano has worked in various roles in the engineering industry since 2000. From 2000 to 2001, they were an Embedded Software Engineer at Heat-Timer Corp. From 2001 to 2005, they were an Associate Professor at DeVry University, where they taught courses in Digital and Analog Electronics, C/C++ Programming, Java, Assembly (80x86 and 8051), Embedded Systems, and Senior Project. Vincenzo also served as Chair of the Electrical Engineering Technology Department and led the ABET accreditation process. From 2005 to 2009, they were an Associate Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where they taught courses in Digital and Analog Electronics, Digital Signal Processing, Control Systems, Computer Architecture, and C/C++ Programming. Vincenzo also developed new courses in Digital Systems at the undergraduate and graduate level using VHDL and the Xilinx tool chain. From 2008 to 2009, they were the Director of Technical Services at Philadelphia Coffee Works, where they supervised operations of the technical department, maintained and updated inventory, conducted technical training, assisted with maintenance and repair, and developed software programs. From 2009 to 2013, they were the Founder/Consultant at Engineering Research and Applications, where they designed a Java-based multi-user, multi-threaded client/server application with user authentication, inter-process communication, XML messaging, server-side serialization, and a Swing GUI on the client side. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Controls Engineer at AERCO International, Inc., where they designed, implemented, and troubleshot control algorithms for industrial boilers and water heaters, as well as a remote web monitoring and control application capable of supporting multiple users. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Mars International Inc., where they designed firmware for the IoT Smart Humidor/Magna cigar humidifier line of products. Currently, they are a Robotics System Engineer at Reliabotics, where they design advanced industrial applications and is the sole developer for an automated pipe cutting system.
Vincenzo Pappano has recently completed professional development courses. Vincenzo obtained their Ph.D.E.E. from Universita' degli Studi di Pisa in 1999, with a focus on Electrical Drives and Control Systems. In 1992, they obtained their M.S.E.E. from Universita' degli Studi di Pisa, Italy, with a focus on Power and Control Systems. In July 2021, they obtained a certification in Parallel and Concurrent Programming with C++ Part 1 from LinkedIn.
