Alok Jain

Alok Jain has a diverse work experience in the shipping and ports industry. Alok started their career in 1989 as a Junior Engineer and progressed to become a Chief Engineer at HMS and Sealandia Ship Management. During this time, they gained extensive knowledge and experience in various aspects of ship operations.

In 2001, Alok joined Reliance Petroleum Limited as a Deputy General Manager, where they contributed to the company's operations for two years.

Alok then moved on to RELIANCE PORTS AND TERMINALS LIMITED in 2003, where they held several managerial roles including General Manager, Senior General Manager, Assistant Vice President, and Vice President. In these positions, they were responsible for overseeing and managing port operations and played a crucial role in the company's success.

In 2014, Alok joined Reliance Industries Limited as the Deputy Chief of Excellence for Shipping &Ports, where they currently serve as a Vice President. In this role, they manage a decentralized team across the company's liquid export and import terminals and collaborates with site teams and domain experts to identify improvement opportunities in marine technical services. Alok also looks for innovative ways to adopt new technologies and engineering best practices in line with industry standards.

Alok Jain obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Industrial and Production from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology & Science, 23, Park Road, Indore, from 1984 to 1989. Alok then pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Maritime Studies from Newcastle University, from 1992 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Jain has obtained several certifications in various fields, including maritime insurance, goal-based standards, leadership strategies, and safety management.
