Mohan Umrotkar

Mohan Umrotkar, as the CFO of Reliance MediaWorks Limited, applies a fine balance between being a ‘scorekeeper’ and a ‘strategic partner’. He is an energetic global executive adept in establishing high growth multimillion dollar operations of substantial impact and plays an active role in the financial and strategic planning of the Company. Under his able leadership and guidance the Company has raised funds including the recently completed Rights Issue offering of INR 6 Billion, acquisition of interest in Digital Domain and other various schemes for Mergers & Demerger. In addition to these, he also played an important role towards cost rationalization in the Exhibition business which resulted into a positive turn-around story. One of his key roles is to maintain a sense of balance between organizational and business goals for each business segment of the Company.

Having a strong foundation of over a decade in financial planning, taxation, risk mitigation and designing turnaround strategies, Umrotkar has been responsible for the entire financial restructuring and consolidation of the business. His financial and business acumen channels the business focus, on the implementation of a dynamic business model to maximize ROI & profitability.

Umrotkar has a degree in commerce and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Prior to joining RMW, he had a significant professional stint with Deloitte where he efficiently provided services to some of the India's biggest business houses. A foodie by nature, Umrotkar is of the firm opinion that one cannot think well if one has not dined well. He enjoys playing and watching the sport of cricket, in addition to travelling and watching movies.
