John Byers

John Byers is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at Stony Brook University since May 2023, John manages accounting and controls for donations to the Stony Brook Foundation. In parallel, John has held the position of Assistant Financial Controller at Reliant Funding since July 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing accounting and financial planning services. Previously, John spent 15 years at JPMorgan Chase & Co., holding various roles including Finance Program Manager for Resolution & Recovery Planning, Risk Manager for Auto Dealer Management, and Controller for Auto Lending Operations and Collections. John holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Pace University and a BBA in Accounting from Western Michigan University.
