Rakesh Patel

Rakesh Patel MD is an accomplished physician and leader in the fields of early detection, genetics, and cancer prevention. Currently serving as the Director of Early Detection, Genetics, Cancer Prevention and Wellness at Precision Health and Medicine since 2004, Rakesh Patel has held several prominent roles, including Medical Director and various leadership positions related to breast care and cancer survivorship. As a clinical faculty member at the University of Wisconsin, Rakesh Patel engages in research focused on breast cancer and targeted therapies. Rakesh Patel has also contributed to the success of numerous healthcare organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors for iCAD, HIP, and Radion, and held roles such as Chief Medical Officer at Invitae. With a solid educational foundation that includes a degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MD from Indiana University School of Medicine, Rakesh Patel further enhanced expertise in genetics and genomics through training at the City of Hope.
