Jon Burton

Jon Burton is the Managing Director of State Government Affairs at RELX, Inc., where a strategic approach is taken to state procurement and government relations activities since October 2008. Leading an eight-member state government relations team in North America, Jon provides direction on legislative and policy matters. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Government Relations at ChoicePoint, managing lobbying efforts on public policy initiatives related to privacy issues across various industries, and as Director of Privacy & External Affairs at Equifax, overseeing legislative and regulatory efforts concerning personal and financial privacy. Jon holds a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and an ABJ in Journalism and Political Science from The University of Georgia.
