Joy Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen is the VP of Analytics & Product Innovation. She is responsible for the overall strategy and development of Remedy Analytics’ reporting and product pipeline which employs predictive and prescriptive analytics. Using health information technology, her team leads the R&D effort to implement innovative products which strive to improve value-based care delivery and cost-effective payment models.

As a clinician, her main focus is holistic management of health through the integration of advanced technology and clinical analytics to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes while managing plan sponsors’ healthcare costs. She specializes in pharmacy & medical data analytics, trend & utilization management, and plan design strategy.

Prior to joining Remedy, Dr. Nguyen served as the Director of Specialty Underwriting and Analytics at CVS Health with oversight on CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy and Coram Home Infusion P&L. In prior roles, she was a Sr. Advisor at CVS Health’s Analytics Department responsible for the planning and implementation of the department’s strategic initiatives. She also served as the liaison to the Sales, Clinical, Product Development, and Marketing teams providing support on analytics & outcomes reporting, company-wide training, R&D, and BOB statistics to some of CVS Health’s marque products. She concurrently served as Director for CVS Health’s Analytics & Outcomes Pharmacy Residency program.

She has been a speaker in several meetings and conferences most notably the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) and Society of Actuary (SOA). She has also given lectures at University of Illinois at Chicago, Midwestern University, and Roosevelt University College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Nguyen graduated with her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy and completed a one-year post-doctoral residency at AON Consulting. She is currently a licensed registered Pharmacist in the State of Illinois.
