Mary Samson has worked in the media industry since 1992. Mary began their career as an Account Executive at SF Weekly, where they initiated the first Women in Business Directory. In 1995, they moved to San Francisco Bay Guardian as an Account Executive. Mary then joined The Wall Street Journal in 1998 as an Account Executive, managing clients such as Adobe, BEA Systems, Citrix, Peoplesoft, Cisco, Hyperion, Google, and Verisign, and was responsible for the first All Things Digital conference sponsorships. In 2011, Mary moved to Pedersen Media Group as an Account Director. Most recently, Mary has been an Account Director at Remedy Editorial since 2016, where they create video for brands and events.

Mary Samson attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, where they studied Theatre, Speech, and Organizational Communication. Mary then transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they earned their BA in Speech Communication/ Organizational Communication. In 2015-2016, they attended Voice One for Commercial Voice Over.
