Juan Gracia Giráldez has had diverse work experience in the fields of video game development, programming, and engineering. Juan started their career as an Engineer at BMW in 2005 and then worked as a Programmer at Indra from 2006 to 2008. From 2008 to 2012, they joined MercurySteam Entertainment as a Gameplay Programmer and Scripter, working on several Castlevania projects. Juan then joined Remedy Entertainment Plc and held various roles from 2012 to present, including Lead Level Designer, Associate Game Director, and Head of Level Design. In these roles, they have been responsible for leading the development of high-quality AAA levels, collaborating with the creative director and producers, managing and supervising level design teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Juan Gracia Giráldez has a diverse educational background in computer science and engineering. Juan started their education journey at the Universidad de Sevilla, where they pursued a degree in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from 1996 to 2004. Following this, they attended the Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences from 2004 to 2005, focusing on the field of Face Recognition and earning an Engineer degree. Later, in 2006 and 2007, they enrolled in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where they pursued a Master's degree in Videogames Development, specializing in Computer Science.
