Carrie Toptan MBPsS, AKC is a dedicated academic and professional in the fields of psychology and computing. Currently serving as a Teaching Fellow and Demonstrator/Teaching Assistant at the University of Portsmouth, Carrie also works as an Online Tutor at Portsmouth Online and contributes as a Peer Reviewer for the Journal of Intersectional Social Justice. Experience includes mentoring psychology students at Touro College Berlin and supporting SEN students as a Teaching Assistant at Remedy Recruitment Group Ltd, alongside volunteering for Crisis Text Line. Recently, Carrie held the position of Visiting Researcher at Tokyo Metropolitan University. Previous roles include visual merchandising and employee representation at Apple, as well as research work at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Computing from the University of Portsmouth, an MSc in Clinical Neurodevelopmental Sciences from King's College London, and a BA in Psychology from Touro College Berlin, alongside further studies in Neuroimaging.
