Armando Armijo

Hardware Lead | Senior Mechanical System Engineer at Remedy Robotics

Armando Armijo has a long history of working in the engineering field. Armando began their career in 2012 as a Compressible Fluid Dynamics Laboratory Researcher at the SDSU Research Foundation. In 2014, they moved to Brain Corp as a Mechanical Engineer, where they developed physical and electronic robotic systems. In 2015, Armando was the Founder of Saros, where they developed small form desktop 3D printers. That same year, they also worked as a Mechanical Composite Engineer at Skyfront, where they designed and fabricated node based chassis with integrated engine mount, landing gear, motor mounts, and external shell for an ultra-endurance quadcopter. In 2016, Armando joined AREVO as a Mechanical Systems Engineer, where they integrated robotic systems for additive manufacturing systems for high-performance composite parts in aerospace, medical, and oil & gas industries. In 2019, they became a Prototype Engineer at Accel Robotics. In 2021, Armando moved to Ambi Robotics as a Senior Mechanical System Engineer. Currently, they are the Hardware Lead | Senior Mechanical System Engineer at Remedy Robotics.

Armando Armijo obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego between 2013 and 2016. In February 2017, they obtained a certification in ABB IRC5 Programming for Material Handling from ABB. In February 2016, they obtained an EIT certification from NCEES.
