Hugo Louis Seize is a robotics and software engineer with a strong background in end-to-end distributed robotics solutions, motion planning, trajectory generation, motion control systems, and software development. Hugo worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Remedy Robotics and had previously held key roles at Rapid Robotics, OSARO, Kindred.ai, RideCo, Evertz, and Curtiss-Wright Controls. Specifically, at Rapid Robotics, Hugo was the Lead Robotics Software Engineer and had designed numerical gradient-based kinematic solvers and developed end-to-end distributed robotics solutions for Yaskawa and UR robots, and at OSARO, they designed, developed, and cythonized a multi-threaded and multi-process motion control system for Fanuc/Yaskawa/UR. At Kindred.ai, Hugo had adapted different dynamic collision scene plans for millisecond trajectory computation and developed motion planning using Probabilistic Roadmap and Rapidly Exploring Random Tree algorithms with concurrent trajectory execution. Hugo has a strong technical foundation in software development, component engineering, and robotics, and has gained extensive experience over the years working with companies in different industries and sectors.
Hugo Louis Seize attended the University of Waterloo from 2013 to 2018. Hugo obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
