Joe Masi

Joe Masi, CHA, CFBE has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. Joe has held various management positions throughout their career.

Most recently, Joe served as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Remington Hotels, where they oversaw the performance of hotels managed by the company. Joe provided leadership and guidance to the General Management in the portfolio of Marriott, Hilton, Westin, and Hyatt Hotels within the assigned geographical area.

Prior to Remington Hotels, Joe worked as the Vice President of Operations at Schulte Hospitality Group, where they focused on Marriott branded hotels. Joe was responsible for overseeing the performance of these hotels and served as a liaison between Schulte and owners for transition hotel projects.

Before their time at Schulte Hospitality Group, Joe served as the Vice President of Operations at TPG Hotels & Resorts. In this role, they oversaw the performance of hotels managed by the company and also acted as a liaison between TPG and owners for transition hotel projects.

From 2011 to 2015, Joe worked at Interstate Hotels & Resorts. Joe initially served as the Vice President of Special Projects, overseeing the performance of hotels managed by the company in China. Later, they became the Vice President of Operations, where they continued to focus on special operations projects and acted as a liaison between Interstate Hotels & Resorts and owners for new construction and takeover projects.

Joe began their career at InterContinental Hotels Group as the General Manager of COEX InterContinental Hotels of Seoul. This 5-star luxury hotel had 700 rooms, 7 restaurants, 2 bars, and 45,000 square feet of meeting space.

Joe then worked at JW Marriott, first as the General Manager of JW Marriott Medan Indonesia, overseeing the preopening of a 300-room luxury hotel. Joe later became the Hotel Manager at JW Marriott.

Joe's career in the hospitality industry started at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, where they held various management positions, including General Manager. Joe spent over 20 years at the company before moving on to other opportunities.

Overall, Joe Masi has extensive experience in hotel operations, preopening and post-opening budget preparation, owner relations, contract negotiations, and strategic partnership execution.

Joe Masi, CHA, CFBE obtained a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments & Asset Management from Cornell University in 2022-2023. Prior to that, they completed a Certificate in Critical Thinking from Cornell University in 2021-2022. Joe'searlier education includes an AS in Hospitality Management and a BS in Hotel/Restaurant/Institutional Management from Johnson & Wales University in 1987-1990.
