Derrick Ragan

Derrick Ragan is an experienced professional with a strong background in data protection, operations management, and technical support. Since 2022, Derrick has been serving as the tGRC Operations Manager at Remitly, following a role as GRC Analyst. Previously, Derrick worked at Nike as a Data Protection Analyst, where significant accomplishments included implementing Information Encryption to protect sensitive information and leading a cross-functional Task Force for compliance with policies and laws. Derrick also has experience as a Data Analyst for Nike through Apex Systems, where an employee onboarding process for data-sharing security tools was developed. Earlier career roles include Project Manager and Fraud/Data Analyst at Verizon Media, achieving substantial improvements in fraud prevention tools, as well as a series of support roles at Yahoo and Stream Global Services that emphasized technical support excellence and agent coaching. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Portland State University.
