Scott Smith

Technical Consultant at Renaissance Entertainment

Scott Smith has been involved in themed entertainment over the past 28 years. Scott has worked on a wide range of projects, developing a wealth of experience that is key to successful project design and management. Most recently, Scott completed the technical design for Universal Studios Transformers attraction opening in Singapore and Hollywood. Prior to that he was the parkwide Technical Director for Hard Rock Park, Myrtle Beach for Live Shows and Attractions. Scott has worked with Universal Studios and Walt Disney Entertainment where he has designed and installed several attractions for both their domestic and international theme parks.

In Japan, Scott helped developed the Peter Pan Neverland and Sesame Street/Shrek 4D attractions at Universal Studios in Osaka, the Little Mermaid Show at Tokyo DisneySeas, as well as other theme parks such as Sanrio Harmonyland, and the Viking Stunt Show at Wakayama Porto Europa park.

Most recently Scott was involved with developing the technical design for the Shanghai Disney Pirates of the Caribbean “Eye of the Storm” Stunt Adventure. Upon returning to the US, Scott project managed the Secret Life of Pets floats in the Universal Studios Superstar parade. Besides designing theme park attractions, Scott has also worked for Sega GameWorks as the Attraction Development manager, working with Steven

Speilberg to develop innovative interactive games and attractions.

Scott’s experiences with live shows, 3D theater venues, rides, attractions, facilities and park-wide systems make him a highly valuable addition to any team.
