Charles Vincent Herst

C.V. Herst has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 1998, they co-founded and served as the Lab Director at RED Laboratories, where they established a clinical laboratory and conducted research on immune and infectious diseases. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Lab Manager at Zogenix. In 2010, they became the Chief Science Officer at Immunity Project and held the position until 2017. They also served as a Regulatory Affairs Consultant at Aradigm Corporation from 2016 to 2018. In 2015, they became the Director of Clinical Trials at Chronix Biomedical Corporation, where they worked until 2017. In 2016, they took on the role of Managing Partner at The Maestro The Movie LLC, a project focused on a feature-length movie about a renowned composer. From 2016 to 2022, they held the position of Chief Science Officer at Flow Pharma Corporation. From 2018 to 2022, C.V. Herst worked as a Senior Scientist at Emery Pharma, utilizing their expertise in microbiology, cell biology, analytical chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. In 2022, they joined renegade.bio as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board and later became the Director of Manufacturing Operations until 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at Ceti 5 Bio, Inc. Overall, C.V. C.V. Herst has an extensive education history across various fields. They started their educational journey at the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Bacteriology from 1974 to 1978. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Biomed Lab Science from the same university, completing it from 1979 to 1980.

C.V. Herst then attended Northwestern University from 1984 to 1989, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Tumor Cell Biology. Moving forward, they enrolled in Golden Gate University from 1994 to 1996 to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Finance.

In 2011, C.V. Herst enrolled in the University of California, Riverside, where they earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing for the Performing Arts, completing the program from 2011 to 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, C.V. Herst also holds additional certifications. They obtained the "Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act - Covered Entities V2.2 2022" certification from Traliant in September 2022. Furthermore, in March 2013, they obtained the "State of Nevada Clinical Laboratory General Supervisor" certification from the State of Nevada - Health and Human Resources.
