Laura McAreavey is a seasoned finance professional with over two decades of experience in various financial management roles. Currently serving as the Sr Director/VP of Finance at TAKKION since January 2022, Laura previously held multiple finance leadership positions at POET from September 2001 to January 2022, including Director of Finance and Procurement, Treasury Manager, and Controller. In these roles, responsibilities encompassed oversight of financial accounting, reporting functions, operational effectiveness of financial controls, and implementation of treasury functions. Laura began a finance career as an Accountant and Project Accountant, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial operations. Laura holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from Augustana University (SD), earned in 2001.
