David Leong

David Leong has over 30 years of work experience in various finance and operations roles.

David started their career as an Accountant at Dowell Schlumberger International Inc. in 1991 and worked there until 1993.

David then joined Schneider Electric as a Finance Manager from 1993 to 1999, where they implemented a costing system and made significant contributions to the factory's financial policies.

After that, David worked as the Finance & Administration Manager at JIT Electronics Hungary Ltd. from 1999 to 2000, playing a key role in the start-up phase of the factory in Hungary.

From 2001 to 2003, they served as the Finance & MIS Manager at Keppel Communications Philippines, Inc., where they re-organized the Finance team and defined job scopes for better efficiency.

David then joined Tandberg Data (Asia) Pte Ltd. in 2003 as the Financial & Operations Controller and worked there until 2008. During their tenure, they successfully implemented a new ERP system in just 3 months.

Their most recent position was as the Finance Director at REC Wafer Pte Ltd. from 2008 to 2009, where they were responsible for budgeting, costing, administration, and cash flow management of a 1 billion SGD project.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated strong financial management skills and has played a significant role in implementing new systems and re-organizing teams to improve efficiency.

David Leong completed their Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Curtin University of Technology (Australia) from 1987 to 1990. Prior to that, they attended Temasek Junior College from 1983 to 1984 to complete their G.C.E. 'A' Levels and Saint Joseph's Institution from 1979 to 1982 for their G.C.E. 'O' Levels.
