Kay Hwa Wee

Kay Hwa Wee is an experienced professional in the semiconductor and solar energy industries, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at REC since May 2010, where responsibilities include overseeing production, equipment maintenance, and the development of wafer, cell, and module operations. Prior roles include Vice President of Operations and Senior Director of Manufacturing, Equipment Maintenance & Development at REC, with a focus on high-volume solar cell manufacturing, implementing lean manufacturing practices, and leading cost reduction programs. Prior to REC, Kay Hwa Wee held managerial positions at TECH Semiconductor Singapore Pte Ltd, specializing in diffusion and manufacturing engineering. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor in Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, a Graduate Diploma in Organizational Leadership from SkillsFuture SG, and a Certified Organisational Coach certification from the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership.
