Sébastien L.

Sébastien L. has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Sébastien began their career as a Business Controller at Alcatel-Lucent, where they worked from 2001 to 2002. Sébastien then joined Ernst & Young as an Auditor from 2002 to 2004. Sébastien then moved to Deloitte, where they worked as an Audit Senior II from 2004 to 2005.

In 2005, Sébastien joined Socomec as a Group Auditor and later transitioned to the role of Business Controller for the Asia Pacific region. During this time, they played a crucial role in setting up subsidiaries and implementing new tools to monitor business units. Sébastien also supported operational departments and management as a business partner, implementing efficient processes and procedures to improve profitability.

In 2011, Sébastien moved to Mapei as the Regional Finance Director for the Asia Pacific region. Sébastien was responsible for managing financial operations across various subsidiaries and played a key role in the group's development in the APAC region.

Sébastien then joined REC as the Finance Director for Operation in 2017. In this role, they worked closely with the CFO to support manufacturing and supply chain activities. Sébastien led a team of plant controllers and cost accountants, managed financial reporting processes, and oversaw the P/L, BS, and NWC for the plants. Sébastien's achievements at REC included reducing the year-end closing period, digitizing finance processes, and revamping the finance organization for improved efficiency.

In 2021, Sébastien was promoted to Group CFO at REC, where they currently lead finance and accounting operations for the group. Sébastien provides strategic recommendations to the executive management team, manages accounting, consolidation, and forecasting processes, and leads finance transformation initiatives.

Throughout their career, Sébastien has demonstrated strong financial expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive positive change in organizations.

Sébastien L. pursued a Master's degree in Banking & Finance from EM Strasbourg Business School from 1998 to 2001. Sébastien also participated in an international management program at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark from 1999 to 2000.
