Wei King Ong

Wei King Ong is an experienced professional in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, currently serving as Director of Modules Manufacturing and Equipment at REC since June 2019, after holding the position of Senior Manager in the same department. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Micron Technology from April 2006 to June 2019, where Wei held various roles, including Equipment Manager, Lead Senior Equipment Engineer specializing in ASML Twinscan 193nm Immersion scanners, and Senior Equipment Engineer. Wei's expertise encompasses maintaining and enhancing tool capabilities to exceed operational KPIs and ensure world-class wafer output. Earlier roles included Process Engineer at Ness Display Singapore, contributing to the establishment of panel inspection protocols in a startup environment. Wei holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
