Calvin Malham has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Calvin started their career in 1983 as an Aircraft Engineering Technician Apprentice at RAF Halton, Bucks. Calvin then worked in various roles within the Royal Air Force, including as an Airframe and Propulsion Engineering Technician and as an Engineering Supervisor. During this time, they also specialized as a Helicopter Vibration Control Specialist. In 2001, they joined fleet as a Senior Engineering Supervisor for a brief period.
In 2006, Calvin transitioned to the renewable energy sector and joined EarthEnergy Ltd as a Design Engineer/Geologist. Calvin later took on the role of Ground/Air Source Heat Pump Commissioning Engineer. In 2011, they briefly worked at Mimer Energy as a Design Engineer/Geologist.
Calvin then moved into the education sector and joined St Piran's Cross Multi-Academy Trust as a Teacher from 2014 to 2017.
In 2018, they joined REG Power Management Limited as an Operations Controller before transitioning to RES in 2019. At RES, they held the positions of Operating Projects Supervisor and currently serves as the Site Operations Manager, a role they started in June 2021.
Calvin Malham has a diverse education history. Calvin began their education by pursuing a Diploma in Geosciences at The Open University. After that, from 2002 to 2010, they continued their studies at The Open University and obtained a BSc(Hons) in Geosciences and a Certificate in Natural Sciences.
In 2005 to 2006, Calvin attended Cornwall College where they pursued a Licence in British Computer Society.
Earlier in their education, from 1983 to 1986, they attended the No.1 School of Technical Training RAF Halton, where they obtained an HNC in Aircraft Engineering and an ONC in Aerospace Studies-Mechanical.
Additionally, Calvin holds a Licentiateship in Aeronautical Engineering from City & Guilds.
In 2012 to 2013, Calvin attended Cornwall SCITT Partnership for a full-time graduate teacher course in Primary Teaching.
